EHS graduate . . . author . . . visits Edgewood

September 21, 2009
By Kieron Boyle of Edgewood High School

Leanna Hieber is a 1997 EHS grad who has spent the last 12 years chasing her dreams.  When she was a student here, she was an excellent student who was very involved in the music and theater programs here.  She studied theater at Miami and worked for a couple of season at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.  For the last few years she has been an aspiring actress in New York City.  But she always was writing.  While waiting for an audition, she got a call from her literary agent that her novel, The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker, was accepted for publication.

She's in Ohio doing a series of book signings and other promotional events for the book and she wanted to come home to EHS.  So on Wednesday, she'll be here to share her novel and answer questions for any students who want to come and hear her.

*Students -- get a pass from your English teacher to meet and greet Leanna during your homeroom!
