Turnovers, opponent's big plays, lead to Cougar loss

August 29, 2009
By Kieron Boyle of Edgewood High School

Withrow capitalized on the inability of the Edgewood Cougars offense to must points, along with untimely fumbles by the Cougars, to steal a victory at Kumler Field Friday night, 21 -14.  Withrow's second touchdown came on a short field set up by a miffed Cougar punt.

A bright spot for the Cougars was Dean Estes who tallied nearly 100 yards on the ground, and freshman place kicker Zach Griffin connected on his first, and only, extra point kick of the game and season.

The Cougars are back in action next Friday as they head to East Central, Indiana.
