Lady Cougars start tournament action with a bang!

EDGEWOOD 35, BELMONT 0: Sara Pearson was 6-for-6 at the plate with two home runs, two doubles and 10 RBIs to lead Edgewood to a Division I sectional win over Belmont Monday, May 11. Pearson also was the winning pitcher and tossed a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts. Carley Wright (6-6, three RBIs), Jenn Prushing (6-6, five runs scored) and Sarah Hollon (5-5, three RBIs) also contributed for the third-seeded Cougars (19-5), who will host Springboro on Wednesday.
